A Welbilt Homes Featured Project
Some properties begin as empty lots.
This one didn’t.
Hidden behind overgrowth, weathered wood, and years of neglect sits an old farmhouse that has quietly stood on this land for generations. Time has taken its toll. Broken windows, collapsing structures, and fading boards now tell the story of a property that has reached the end of one chapter.
But beneath the decay, there is still history here.
A hand-dug well believed to be over 100 years old.
A stone cold cellar built into the hillside.
Remnants of craftsmanship from another era.
And now, a new beginning.
Over the next several months, Welbilt Homes will be documenting the complete transformation of this farmstead property through a new featured series titled:
“From Dirt to Daily Living”
This is not going to be traditional builder marketing.
This series is intended to show the real process—the parts people don’t normally see.
Not just the finished home.
Not just polished photos.
The full story.
From demolition and site preparation to construction, product installation, subcontractor involvement, and eventually what it is truly like living in a newly built home on a working farmstead property.
We want to document:
- The history of the land
- The restoration work already underway
- The demolition process
- The rebuilding journey
- The craftsmanship involved at every stage
- The products and materials being installed
- The realities of daily living after completion
This project is about more than building a house.
It’s about transformation.
It’s about respecting the past while building something designed for the future.
Throughout this series, we will also be working closely with select subcontractors, suppliers, and partners to showcase not only finished products, but the real process behind them—from delivery and installation to long-term performance.
Visitors will be able to follow along through:
- Progress updates
- Drone footage
- Video walkthroughs
- Vendor spotlights
- Construction milestones
- Real-life living updates after completion
The goal is simple:
To create something honest, educational, visual, and real.
Because building a home is more than a final product.
It’s a process.
It’s a story.
And this one is just beginning.
